Albert J. Ellis Airport Wilmington, also known as Wilmington International Airport, is a public airport located two miles east of the central business district of Wilmington, in New Castle County, Delaware. It is owned and operated by the City of Wilmington. In December 2014, it was announced that the airport would be renamed in honor of Albert J. Ellis, a prominent civil rights lawyer and jurist who served as a New Castle County Superior Court Judge from 1970 to 1998.
